IDA Undergraduate Fellowship
A year-long leadership program for undergraduate students that runs from September to June.
The IDA Undergraduate Fellowship is a year-long program for undergraduate artists and organizers to prepare them with the skills, leadership, and artistic development necessary to sustain a long-term community-based arts practice.
Fellows cultivate confidence in organizing, facilitation, and arts administration while deepening their artistic practice. They support the Artists-in-Residence Program ↗ and serve as ambassadors and student leaders within IDA.
The IDA Fellowship is a weekly ten hour/week commitment that includes:
Weekly Seminar
(2-4 hrs)
Skill-building seminar focused on building the core competencies needed for a community-based arts practice.
Peer Group Facilitation
(2 hrs)
Co-facilitation of bi-weekly sections for the Artists-in-Resonance Program supported by an IDA mentor.
Community Ambassadorship
(2 hrs)
Participation in and support of IDA programs, serving as an active ambassador for community outreach.
Cohort Leadership
(1 hr)
Specialized admin duties within the cohort, such as communications, archiving, or logistics support.
New Work Creation
(2-4 hrs)
Focused independent work on individual art practice or community based projects.
